Glasgow’s Southern General Hospital is being hugely expanded and rebuilt, with about \u00a31bn being spent to consolidate the city’s hospital care. The cranes on this site have tempted me for ages, but they’re rather secure – the building itself, however, is not \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

It’s standard building site at the moment, mostly, but here you go anyway…<\/p>\n

It’s got some pretty extensive tunnels:<\/p>\n

I thought the old hospitals I’ve visited were a maze because they’d been extended and added to over the years – but this place is a maze from the ground up! I think the NHS must specify in the contract that hospitals must be impossible to find your way into or out of…<\/p>\n
