Hearing that this place was still (mostly) standing, I went over to Edinburgh for a look – situated right next to the Union Canal in Edinburgh, the brewery brewed McEwan’s for Scottish & Newcastle.
Back again for another visit, and I found the tunnel connecting the west and east sites. First on the west side the decommissioning office:
Then through the tunnels to the east side:
There were crates and crates of Fountain Brewery ties:
And finally back through the tunnels again to the boilerhouse:
