Glasgow’s Southern General Hospital is being hugely expanded and rebuilt, with about £1bn being spent to consolidate the city’s hospital care. The cranes on this site have tempted me for ages, but they’re rather secure – the building itself, however, is not 😉

I thought the old hospitals I’ve visited were a maze because they’d been extended and added to over the years – but this place is a maze from the ground up! I think the NHS must specify in the contract that hospitals must be impossible to find your way into or out of…
I remember walking around in a (working) hospital at night,felt strange,most busy places do when they’re deserted.
